Yin Yoga is a perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga that emphasize internal heat, and the lengthening and contracting of our muscles. Yin yoga postures target the deep connective tissues of the body – the ligaments, joints, bones, and deep fascia networks. Works the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine .The postures can be held for a long time, with the muscles relaxed. A Yin class usually consists of a series of passive floor poses held for several minutes.
