Sandra has been practising Ashtanga since 2007. More recently, she has begun to expand her learning, obtaining her 200 hour certificate in January of 2023, and her 50 hour trauma informed training certificate in November 2022. Sandra will begin her 300 hour training in October 2023.
She has a background in anthropology, and has previously worked with anti-sexual harassment groups. These experiences with stress and trauma are part of why she is so invested in learning to rehabilitate the nervous system, and help the body recover through yoga practice.
Sandra wants to deepen her understanding of how people relate to their bodies and bodily experiences through their practice. She is committed to ensuring anyone who wants to practice yoga can, and to making her classes as safe a space as possible.
