Introduction to Sound Therapy
Saturday 30 September 4pm to 6pm
This 2 hour workshop will start by taking participants on a sound journey and end with practical exercises performed in pairs and with the group to demonstrate various aspects of sound diagnosis and treatment.
From this workshop, you can take home techniques to develop your skills of attunement through sound and to understand its therapeutic applications.
You can also start to introduce sounds to your own healing or yoga classes if you are a therapist or teacher.
During the Workshop you will begin to experience the power of the Ocean drum, the Buffalo Drum, Tibetan Singing Bowls, the crystal bowl, and explore the power of the voice and overtone chanting.
After completing the introductory workshop, you qualify to attend a 7 week sound course, that starts later in the year, if you wish to develop your skills as a sound therapist.
You will locate one of these as being your primary element to work with. You need no previous experience of sound therapy to benefit from this workshop.
£25 for session (£20 for Concessions: students/retired/unemployed; £10 for people with full Hope Studio Membership)
